In Virginia, adjacent to any state in the parts of the southern Atlantic coastal plain, there are beautiful natural parks. Like every major city in America has also the capital of Virginia, Richmond, an impressive skyline. Richmond is located on the James River. In the city of Richmond, there is the island of Belle Isle. It is a small island in the James River and serves as a park. It is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists. Virginia is one of the most economically successful states in the U.S.. Also important are the tobacco, cotton, hay, peanut, corn and wheat areas, but also the livestock and oyster fisheries. The state also has rich mineral resources.
