Ausflüge in und um Las Vegas
Von Las Vegas aus kann man den Südwesten der USA am Besten bei einem Tagesausflug oder einer Rundreise erkunden. Nur eine Autostunde von Las Vegas entfernt liegen Lake Mead und der Hoover Staudamm. Auf dem Lake Mead kann man sich bei einer Fahrt mit dem Schaufelraddampfer von den anstrengenden Nächten in Las Vegas erholen und Energie tanken. Vom Hoover Staudamm hat man eine grandiose Aussicht über die Gegend. Das Valley of Fire mit seinen beeindruckenden roten Felsformationen liegt am nördlichen Ende vom Lake Mead. Zweieinhalb Autostunden von Las Vegas liegt das Militärsperrgebiet Area 51, das als geheimstes militärisches Testgelände der Welt gilt.

Fast jedes der großen Hotels in Las Vegas verfügt über eine eigene Einkaufspassage passend im Stil des entsprechenden Hotels. Besonders beeindruckend sind die Canal Grande Shops im Hotel Venetian, die Via Bellagio im Hotel Bellagio und die Forum Shops im Ceasars Palace.
