Sweet Home Alabama. Even for visitors to the southern states. Alabama is bordered to the north by Tennessee, Georgia in the east, and west to Mississippi and the southeast of Florida. Much of the area of the state is covered by forest. To the south lies the Gulf of Mexico, into which the great river Alabama River. Alabama has 4.5 million inhabitants. The Birmingham Museum of Art is one of the most important art museums in the southeastern United States. The collection includes about 17,000 objects. In Alabama’s largest city Brimingham one finds a variety of stylish hotels.
